What a weekend!
In 2025, I joined my boyfriend out to Sin City Classic to watch him play on one of the Chicago travel football teams and support all the Chicago athletes with some pro-bono pictures just for something to do and to meet new people at the world's largest LGBTQ sporting event. Plus it's Vegas and I'm a bit of a gambler so I always have a great time.
Long story short, I ended up taking some of my best photos ever - one of them is the landing photo for the main page of this website (and happens to be of said boyfriend!) The content I published on Instagram caught the attention of the organizers of Sin City Classic, and they asked for me to reach out a few months ahead of Sin City Classic 2026. I ended up participating in this year's tournament on their photo team which was an incredible amount of fun and captured some new sports for the portfolio too!
The mission for the photos that I've taken for the past few years has always been to elevate the community and this was an extraordinary time to be able to do just that and be a part of the stories that shaped this tournament. One of my personal highlights was receiving a medal from the organizers of the Kicking out Transphobia soccer event, and it felt meaningful to be with them to celebrate this event at a time when transgender athletes (and the community as a whole) has been under attack unjustly.

As an added bonus to the sports content I was able to capture, I was also invited to photograph some of the events attached to Sin City Classic including the closing ceremony with Leann Rimes, Jimbo the Drag Clown, Mirage from Season 16 of RuPaul's Drag Race, the cast of Piranha nightclub in Las Vegas, and Monet X Change at the first comedy night that SCC has hosted!
I've chosen some photos below that I think represent the more than 1000 photos that I took over the course of a few days of shooting. I am counting down the days until next year's tournament!
