What sports do you take pictures for?
Any and all, indoor or outdoor is within scope
How many pictures will I receive?
Time is billed by the hour, and number of pictures is dependent on the type of sport and shoot. Generally, sports clients can expect at least 50 photos per hour captured. Sports like football with lots of start-and-stop action will naturally receive less than sports like volleyball, soccer, or rugby. All photos deemed of worth (in focus, good composition, interesting subject) will be edited and provided to the client.
Are you available outside of Chicago?
Yes! However, travel expenses will be paid for by the client. Please inquire through the contact form or on Instagram to make arrangements.
Do you do wedding photography?
No, but other special events like parties, drag shows, and socials are on the table!
The exception is second shooting for wedding photographers - other photographers can inquire directly with me on these requests
What is your AI policy?
In editing, Lightroom does have some features that use AI. I use two of these features - one is creating masks that identify the subject, background, and sky in a picture so these components can be edited separately. This feature is used for nearly all photos I produce. The other is Denoise which is used in some instances of low light (like indoor basketball).
Clients may request that these features are not used in editing of their work.
I do not use generative AI for any purposes in editing and in website design. It is my request that clients also do not use my photography to train AI models or create generative videos with my images.
What is the turnaround time for photos?
Generally, the client can expect to receive a few select hero shots within 48 hours. Full gallery will be available within 2-3 weeks. If needed sooner, please inquire in the contact form to make arrangements to make sure your expectations are met
Can you take pictures in rain if my event is outdoors?
Absolutely! If your event is on, I will be there.
Do you work with kids?
Yes - I am an experienced camp counselor for kids aged 8-17. References can be provided upon request. Additionally, certain protections for privacy will be placed on galleries with minors. These images will also not be utilized on public Instagram posts.
What is your pricing structure?
Quotes start at $100/hour as a base price. Certain asks from the client like rapid speed of delivery, ownership of photos, travel distance, and re-edit requests will increase the base. Some jobs may be pro-bono or discounted in certain requests, like photos for trans athletes or new shoots that expand my portfolio.
